Safia Verjee
Safia Verjee leads the International Center for Humanitarian Affairs, the humanitarian think tank of the Kenya Red Cross Society. With more than 15 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, her work sits at the intersection of research, innovation and policy, with a focus on translating evidence and ideas into practical approaches that strengthen community resilience. She is particularly interested in locally led solutions, alternative financing, innovation and new models of humanitarian action that can deliver sustainable impact. Safia holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Cardiff University and a certificate in Leadership from Lancaster University.
